The Chair of Enterprise Logistics
The Chair of Enterprise Logistics (LFO) at the Technical University of Dortmund specializes in supply chain management and the management of Industry 4.0. To this end, we combine technology and management topics for the further development of companies and their future employees in the design fields of "people", "technology", "organization" and "information". An important goal and result of the research work at the LFO is the effective utilization of new technologies and feasible management solutions for practice in logistics, purchasing and production. Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Michael Henke has been full professor of the Chair of Enterprise Logistics since 2013.

Our mission statement
The Chair of Enterprise Logistics (LFO) continues the more than 50 years of work of the Chair of Factory Organization at the Technical University of Dortmund and expands it to include aspects of comprehensive supply chain management.
Who we are
The LFO, formerly the Chair of Factory Organization, is the founding chair and thus the oldest chair in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. The LFO consistently continues the more than 40 years of work of the Chair of Factory Organization and expands it to include aspects of comprehensive supply chain management. In teaching, the LFO is significantly involved in the training of students in the Bachelor's and Master's degree courses in Logistics, Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering at TU Dortmund University.
