Research, design and do your own doctorate in supply chain management

Scientific employee at the LFO

What is scientific work? Above all, diverse and innovative! Scientific work means dealing with highly topical issues and exploring how modern technologies can solve our everyday problems. Nowhere else do you have so many opportunities to work on innovations and contribute your own interests. In addition, research is a lively process that thrives on exchange: science offers numerous opportunities to exchange ideas with like-minded people, be it with students, companies, institutions or partner universities. Teaching is also an important part of our work. We impart relevant knowledge to students in order to prepare them as well as possible for their future careers.

„We live interdisciplinarity! With our research topics, we are already very broadly positioned within the chair, from supply chain management to blockchain and AI. We also cooperate with other departments at TU Dortmund University and many partner universities abroad. I really appreciate the open exchange, which always opens up new perspectives. This keeps the work exciting and varied.“

„Working at the LFO is simply fun and the team is super friendly! There are many reasons why I like working at the LFO, but the two most important are the pleasure of working together and the exciting, diverse topics. The LFO's broad network also offers the opportunity to exchange ideas with numerous institutions internationally and to advance one's own interests within the framework of the doctorate. In addition, the LFO promotes formats such as the Doctoral Candidate Days, where we can exchange and challenge each other on our doctoral topics. In this way, we are constantly helping each other!“
