String together innovation chains end-to-end!

Linking innovation chains end-to-end - in simple terms, this is the task of the management team that brings cutting-edge research to industry at the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft's High Performance Center for Logistics and IT in Dortmund. The cooperation project has now entered its second funding phase.

"If only the researchers at the university and the Fraunhofer and Leibniz institutes in Dortmund knew what they know," sums up Christoph Pott. The logistics graduate is working with Dr. Michael Schmidt, Dr. Christoph Besenfelder and Frederik Möller to bring together researchers from TU Dortmund University, the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics (IML), the Fraunhofer Institute for Software and Systems Engineering (ISST) and the Leibniz Institute for Employment Research (IfADo) to jointly conduct cutting-edge research in the broad field of logistics and IT and develop the results to market maturity. The project began in 2016 and has now entered its second funding phase.
