Christoph Besenfelder and Denis Daus, two long-standing colleagues, were bid farewell during a convivial virtual meeting of the entire LFO at the end of last month. The time was used to highlight the particular successes of their work and to embellish these with one or two anecdotes as well as to convey their thanks.
Christoph Besenfelder, a colleague who successfully helped shape the development of the chair for over 10 years as a member of the management team, is leaving us. In addition to his successful doctorate on the subject of "Contribution to the quantified evaluation of structural change in production systems", he has successfully acquired and worked on numerous research projects and strategic initiatives. In the future, Christoph Besenfelder will head a working group in the field of "Research Transfer" at the Center for Entrepreneurship & Transfer (CET) at TU Dortmund University.
During his three years of employment, Denis Daus has shaped the areas of "internationalization" and "coordination of scientific theses" through his great commitment. He also coordinated the project academy on the topic of "Sustainability in global value chains" and will drive forward research work in the area of "Circular Economy" at the Center for Logistics and Transport (ZLV) at the University of Duisburg-Essen.
We wish both of them every success in their new endeavors and hope to stay in touch and to be able to thank them personally and say goodbye at another meeting.
