Maintenance as a production-related technical service is subject to constant change. The digital transformation is changing the image of maintenance from a cost driver to a value driver. The field of maintenance and service management is researching design approaches for the management of data-driven services in industrial value networks.

Current trends

New technologies such as AI and blockchain enable innovative approaches to meet current challenges through approaches such as predictive maintenance, servitization, co-creation and new business models. Current topics such as resilience, sustainability and digitalization are an integral part of our research. Our aim is to enable industrial companies to focus on their core competencies in order to secure their long-term success.
