The success of Industry 4.0 not only depends on new technologies, it also depends - to a greater extent than previously discussed - on management itself. The technologies of Industry 4.0 already exist. Now the task of management is to enable companies and employees to use the new technologies in a beneficial way.

Current trends
This makes it necessary to rethink the entire company and its members in terms of digital transformation. This includes rethinking the company's orientation in terms of new business models and innovation processes as well as networking along the supply chain in the context of supply chain design and management and rethinking management as well as strengthening and motivating members on the path to Industry 4.0. Successful digital transformation requires sensitizing members to innovations and taking them along on the path of organizational change. New technologies can only develop their full potential if employees are involved as process experts and key interfaces in the design of digitalized processes. Companies can only secure their competitiveness if they meet the challenges of digitalization by consistently accompanying the change processes and systematically empowering their members with innovative and activating approaches to skills-oriented training.
